'Embracing Complexity:
Advancing Ecological Understanding in Organization Studies'
5–7 June 2008, Pissouri, Cyprus
About the Workshop
The Organization Studies Summer Workshop is an annual
activity, originally launched in June 2005, to facilitate
high-quality scholarship in organization studies. Its primary aim is
to advance cutting-edge research on important topics in the field by
bringing together in a Mediterranean island, in early summer, a
small and competitively selected group of scholars, who will have
the opportunity to interact in depth and share insights in a
stimulating and scenic environment.
Following on the tremendous success of the first three
Organization Studies Summer Workshops, held in the Greek islands
of Santorini, Mykonos and Crete respectively, we are happy to
announce that the Fourth Workshop will take place at Columbia Beach
Resort, Pissouri, Cyprus (http://www.columbia-hotels.com/english/index-zypern.html),
on 5–7 June 2008. Cyprus (http://www.visitcyprus.org.cy),
the legendary island of Aphrodite, is renowned for its splendid
weather, the alluring beaches and its fragrant mountain peaks. The
Workshop venue, comfortable, beautiful, and situated by the sea,
will provide an ideal setting for Workshop participants to relax and
engage in authentic and creative dialogues. More about the
practicalities and costs of the Workshop will appear later in the
journal’s web site (http://www.egosnet.org/journal/os_summer_workshop_2008.shtml).
