Teaching

• Vincent’s teaching focuses upon Strategic Management and the Management of Innovation. Much of his teaching focuses on postgraduate programmes (DEA, DESS), mainly one course on Economics of Research and Innovation in DEA, one course on Management of Innovation in DESS.
• Vincent is active in PhD supervision. He has supervised two students who have successfully completed their PhD, is currently supervising three on-going students, and acted as a Rapporteur on two additional completed PhDs. (details at end of CV).

Research Activities

Research programmes

From 2000 until now, most of my research projects explore different strategies of creation and circulation of knowledge within and amongst knowledge based organisations. My research strategy is based on two programmes:

• Technology transfer and management of Public Sector Research Organisations.
  
  Technology transfer strategies may be based on research alliances or on patent and licensing. My research focuses on additional modes of technology transfer like firm creation and mobility of human resource from academia to industry. Currently, I focus on individual career (mid career around 40-50 years old researchers) to analyse the linkages between careers and technology transfer.
  
  
• Organisation of research and innovation in high tech sectors
  
  Based on biotech and nanotechnologies industries, this programme focuses on the firms’ evolution within emerging industries: coupling between financial and scientific resources within high tech companies, knowledge integration within project-based firms along the industry life cycle, spatial organisation of economic, technological and scientific activities in emerging sectors where sharing of research facilities is required.
