EGOS sponsors participation of researchers from less developed regions
EGOS aims at promoting high-quality organizational research that is grounded in the best traditions of social science. Inclusion and diversity are key objectives of our association.
To enrich further the international outreach of EGOS, the EGOS Board has dedicated ?? 8,000 towards sponsoring the participation of researchers from less developed regions of the world in the 26th EGOS Colloquium 2010 in Lisbon.
This support is intended for PhD students, as well as early career and established scholars, coming from areas where financial support for the Colloquium is difficult to obtain. These areas include Central and Eastern European countries, Latin America, Africa and less developed parts of Asia. We seek to sponsor up to five PhD students and up to five early career or established scholars based on their applications. The sponsoring includes a travel and accommodation grant, as well as a Colloquium fee waiver.
Those interested are invited to send applications to our Executive Secretary, Angelika Zierer-Kuhnle, by January 10, 2010.
Applications must include:
?
- a CV
- a paper already submitted to the Colloquium and/or an application made to the PhD or Early Career Pre-colloquium Workshops
- a one-page letter justifying the need for sponsoring
- a letter of recommendation.
Decisions will be made by the EGOS Board on the basis of all applications received.
For more information about this initiative, please contact Angelika Zierer-Kuhnle () or EGOS Chair Eero Vaara ().
